We have tested and tried various pumps in an XR6 Turbo and
found the right pump for street and strip applications up to
around the 400rkW - 400rwkW mark. The standard factory fuel
pump we have found is good for no more than 280rwkW. Factors
such as flow rates, pressure and even relief valves on the
pump need to be addressed and upgraded.
Stage I fuel pumps
255 litres/hr this fuel pump can support 500HP+
The Walbro high output in-tank electric fuel pumps are
available in flow ratings of 255 litres of fuel per hour.
These particular pumps flow significantly more fuel at
higher pressure. For example, at 80 PSI the standard 255 lph
pump will flow around 132 litres (35 gallons) per hour. At
that same 80 PSI the equivalent HP (high pressure) fuel pump
will flow over 210 litres (50 gallons) per hour.
Walbro in-tank electric fuel pumps utilise a proven gerotor
design. The outside dimensions, however, are compact enough
to fit existing hanger assemblies without modification.
These are complete fuel pump kits and include all drop
parts, accessories and installation instructions. Also
included is an inlet filter that meets or exceeds original
equipment specifications and provides improved filtration
and durability.

IV High Impedance
We now stock 60LB and 80LB injectors, these injectors are
high-impedance. Despite the high flow rate, they are linear
and controllable at low pulse widths and have been used in
ULEV applications! This allows you to use a larger injector
than normally possible without hurting idle and low speed
driveability. Adding to the flexibility of application,
these units are high-impedance; making them compatible with
most ECUs, while delivering the most flow available in a
High-Impedance injector.
These injectors are able to function at high fuel pressures
and don't exhibit the high fuel pressure handling problems
found with many other high flow high-impedance injectors.
This makes these injectors very well suited to turbocharged
and supercharged applications that see high fuel system
pressures.
Engine performance and running quality are enhanced through
the optimised spray pattern. Unlike competitors "pencil
stream" high flow injectors; these High Flow injectors
utilise a multi-orifice tip providing a true 30 degree spray
pattern for improved mixture preparation. This results in
lower BSFC and better idle quality than many injectors with
less flow.
